I don’t consider myself minimalist by any means—I love bold colors, pattern, outfits and jewelry. Recently, though, I’ve been trading in my statement necklaces for something of the daintier variety. Dainty necklaces have become my new obsession, and I’ve been refusing to wear anything else. Most of my necklace collection from the past several years is made up of bold and maximalist necklaces. I love quirky and unique jewelry, so that’s pretty much all that I’ve acquired through the years. My recent fascination with dainty necklaces, though, has had me changing how I shop. Instead of gravitating toward the statement jewelry on display, it’s the daintier necklaces that have my attention.
Because most of my jewelry doesn’t fall under the “dainty” category, I’ve been doing some serious (window) shopping. Even Instagram has gotten to know my preferences, and I’m constantly served ads for jewelry brands that sell adorable dainty necklaces. It’s hard to resist these beautiful and simple pieces—especially when they go with pretty much any ensemble. You can pair a dainty necklaces with jeans and graphic tee or a holiday gown. The possibilities are truly endless (and endlessly chic).
Perhaps one day I’ll go back to wearing all of my statement necklaces, but for right now, dainty necklaces are the only thing I care about. Below, you’ll find several necklaces I’ve got my eyes on now—each one unique, but still dainty and perfect for everyday wear. You better believe this is the biggest category on my holiday wishlists.
Here at Unruly, we’re committed to featuring plus-size pieces we genuinely love and want to share with you.
