Seeing the words “hair bows” makes me, uh, very apprehensive due to the fact that I went through a bow phase at age thirteen (also known as ~the worst age of all time~). What I thought at the time was the perfect mix of preppy and quirky—but paired with a side-pony was definitely not—has actually make me afraid to wear bows now that they’re trendy again.
